Workplace Violence Prevention in California: SB 553

Thousands of injuries and nearly 100 deaths result from workplace violence in California each year. To combat workplace violence, the state of California has enacted SB 553.  The bill requires annual training to ensure that all employees can identify workplace violence, understand the potential threats that exist in their jobs, and effectively report workplace violence incidents.
